I, along with everyone else on the planet, have the shared experience of a world that has rejected God and yet longs for the love, acceptance, purpose and peace that can only be found in Him.
None of us is immune from the pain and suffering that comes with life, but I have discovered that in Jesus Christ, there is so much more to life than lurching from crisis to crisis and attempting to enjoy the down time!
For those who don’t know Him, Jesus offers forgiveness, love, acceptance, peace and a joy that is independent of circumstances.
For those who are surrendered to Him and his love, there is the challenge to accept that what he said is true, that he came to give us life and more than that, abundant life.
Jesus calls us to be his hands and his feet, to love others as much as we are loved by him, to pour our lives out for others and to go to him to be filled up again.
God has a plan and a purpose for every person on the planet, if we will just surrender ourselves to him and his care. I have discovered that it is so much more than I could ask or imagine.
Anyone who is walking with Jesus knows that trying to live this way in our own strength is exhausting. It is only when we surrender to him and allow the Holy Spirit to guide and direct that we can live in the way He planned.
As a human being who has experienced some of the pain that life and death and stuff in between can bring, I have surrendered my life to the love of Christ.
I want to encourage others to surrender to Jesus, to accept the forgiveness and healing that only he can bring and to allow Him to lead us in the abundant life he promised.
John 3:16 - 17 “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that, whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.”
John 10:10 “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”
